Tradiční pivovar v Rakovníku

The Bakalář brewery (official name: Tradiční pivovar v Rakovníku) is one of the oldest independent traditional breweries in the Czech Republic, founded in 1454. It is located in the town of Rakovník, approximately 50 km west of Prague. It is among the few Czech breweries that still employ traditional, classic production methods—open fermentation in vats and an extended maturation period (40 to 60 days) in horizontal lagering tanks. The brand's beers carry the Protected Geographical Indication "České pivo" (Czech Beer).
