Swinkels Family Brewers

Brouwers Bier is not an independent physical brewery but a private-label beer brand belonging to the major Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn. The word "Brouwers" simply means "brewers" in Dutch. The brand was originally introduced in 1978 and underwent a major revamp of its visual identity and recipe in 2016. Since the supermarket chain does not own its own beer production facilities, the production of Brouwers Bier is outsourced to large commercial breweries (contract brewing). Over the years, the beer has been brewed at facilities such as Bavaria (Swinkels Family Brewers) in the Netherlands and Grolsch.
