Kapsreiter Brewery

The brewery was originally founded in 1590 in the town of Schärding, Austria. In 1863, it was taken over by the Bavarian brewer Michael Kapsreiter, whose name the brand bears to this day. After a period of closure, the authentic Kapsreiter recipe and brand were revived in 2019 under the umbrella of another renowned Austrian brewery – Baumgartner.
